Are you looking for social media strategies that can help you stand out from the crowd? Every day, the number of people using social media rises by almost one million. According to Internet Live Stats, more than 8,500 tweets and 900 Instagram photographs are sent and posted every second.
With all of this activity, social media has become a hard nut to crack. Small businesses and freelancers are finding it very hard to stay afloat in this flood of posts. But don’t panic, there are tried-and-true methods for hacking your way through social feeds and snowballing your clicks, likes, and shares.
What are Social media algorithms ?
Social media algorithms control which information users see based on their online interests and activity. If you want to get noticed online as a marketer or business owner, you need to understand how social media algorithms work and what you can do to get a space in your customers’ news feeds.
The algorithm creates different results for each user based on who they follow on social media and how regularly as well as how much they engage with other people’s content.
How to Bypass the Algorithms on Social Media?

- Ask questions and invite feedback from your audience.
The algorithm is more likely to reward a piece of content that receives more engagement.
Asking your followers questions is one of the simplest methods to boost engagement. Question-based posts, which operate as a kind of chat, are a simple method to increase conversations while also connecting with your audience. Engage with followers’ content during the first hour after you post something
- Tag other accounts into your posts

Tagging other accounts acts as an invitation for other people to check out your material and, perhaps, share it. If you’re mentioning another company, brand, or client, make sure their account is appropriately tagged.
- Add the appropriate hashtags.
Hashtags are a great way to get your content seen by more people than just your followers. Using a hashtag on social media groups your post with other posts that use that hashtag, making you discoverable to those who might not have seen your message otherwise.
- Optimize the timing of your posts to increase engagement.
Are you confident you’re posting at the proper moment, when your audience is most active online? I can’t stress this enough: timely posts receive more likes. However, the times for each social media channel vary. Compare the best time intervals for Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn in the infographic below. If Instagram is your top priority, figure out when it’s ideal to post.
- Determine how often you’ll publish.

In any network you are posting to, you should always aim to be an active user. It’s just as important to post on a regular basis as it is to post at peak times. But keep in mind that you should only post if you have quality content to share and if it’s relevant to your company
It’s important to design a content calendar that allows you to post to each network on a regular basis. To get the most out of your content development efforts, cross-post your material across networks (think: Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter).
Best time to post on social media
- Facebook: it’s best to post once per day on.
- Twitter: It’s advisable to tweet 15 times every day if you’re on Twitter. Yes, that appears to be a lot, but your post will only be visible on Twitter for 18 minutes after it is published.
- LinkedIn: Post once every other day, just like on Facebook
- Instagram: One or two posts per day is said to be enough.
If you don’t have enough content to post every day, make Mondays and Wednesdays your posting days. When your audience sees a schedule, they’ll come back to see if there’s anything new.
- Share more video content across all channels.
Today, video content is a requirement because it surpasses all other types of posts, but how you publish it matters in the end. There’s one trick you might already know about, but for those who don’t, we strongly suggest it. If you wish to share a video, do so first on social media platforms to avoid backlinking to video-hosting services. As a result, more people will see your posts and they will gain traction.
Reels, Instagram’s own version of TikTok, has also been introduced. Since employing this new feature, several Instagram profiles have expanded, so it may be wise to devote some time to this type of content.
- Avoid outbound links on social media.
Every social media network wants you to stay on that platform, it’s no secret. As a result, posting connections to your website or blog post has a lower reach than planned. To get around this, avoid using outbound links and instead mention them in the comments. One of the social media management survival techniques that everyone should try is this. Even Facebook, which manages its LinkedIn business page, uses this strategy to ensure that more people see the post.
- Analyze your social media performance to see how well you’re doing.
It’s impossible to tell how the various social media algorithms are treating your material without analytics. You may chose what to post (or not) based on your engagement rate by noticing trends and spikes in engagement. The more data you can collect, the better.

Whether we love them or hate them, social algorithms are here to stay.
However, understanding what algorithms are and how they work is critical for long-term social media growth. Anything you can do to keep the algorithms of each network happy is a plus.
I hope these tips work for you as much as they have worked for me.
